Main themes
The workshop is devoted to the composition by each student of a series of six to eight short or very short pieces. The work is sometimes individual, and sometimes collective in nature, so that the entire group is able to follow the progress of each writer. There are alternating phases of writing, reading one's work out loud in order to receive feedback, and focused reflection on the dramatical issues of contemporary writing. As a result, these attempts at writing also constitute a form of instruction in reading contemporary writing for the theatre.

Content
Individual or group warm-up exercises (based on instructions or formal constraints) and materials to be shared on the theme of water (which make up the workshop's “toolkit”) precede the drawing of cards from an “aquatic and underwater drama kit.” The exercises should be viewed not as constraints but as launching pads. The drawing is random, and participants must then navigate and compose accordingly. The kit is designed to inspire each participant to write a short drama. From the exercises, through the suitcase, to the handling of the kit, the aim is to be attentive to the possibility of a relationship to explore (with orality? with the voice? syntax? the body? the image? rhythm? etc.). The writing phase, the reading aloud phase, the editing or rewriting phase, and the concrete reflection phase on the dramaturgical issues of contemporary writing alternate, so that the workshop also serves as a learning experience in reading contemporary theatrical writing.
Evaluation methods
The assessment focuses on personal investment in the workshop, the quality of the work produced (including the short piece and the requested critical feedback), and the progress made.
