Main themes
Through analysis and discussion of texts by authors from different areas, cultural practices are discussed, in multiple dimensions, with a multidisciplinary critical look at their issues. These dimensions include social action, defocus of its cultural identity, cultural awareness, the exercise of the imagination, the representation of the past, anticipation of future, utopias, education, training and the quest for quality.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Understanding a cultural practice by situating it in its particular within the universe of existing practices. The objective of the seminar is to develop in students an attitude of reflection and trans-disciplinary understanding of the phenomenon of cultural practices and their diversity. After the seminar the students will be able to describe and analyse cultural dimensions according to its constituent practice, to assess the relative importance of these dimensions in various concrete cases, to conduct an evaluation process and suggest improvements in this practice. The seminar also develops mastery techniques for presenting text and animation, and participation in a debate.

Content
The seminar has a practical focus and consists of developing analyses of cultural experiences, based on three main tools proposed in the plenary session: analysis of exhibition scenography, narratology and phenomenology. These theoretical foundations form part of the basic knowledge and methods that will enable the studentsto apply them afterwards.
Teaching methods
Learning activities will be varied. Some sessions will be theoretical, presenting tools for analysis, followed by group cultural activities. During other sessions, work will continue in smaller groups for writing exercises, analyses of cultural activities, self-assessment in the form of debates and progressive corrections. Attendance is therefore compulsory.
Evaluation methods
Over the course of the semester, students will be asked to produce several analyses of cultural activities, individually or in pairs/threes. Students will be asked to compile a portfolio combining critical analysis, personal expression, field notes and a creative diary, which will also be graded as continuous work. These analyses and the portfolio will prepare the final work, which will be individual and consist of a more transversal analysis of a chosen cultural experience, validated by the teachers. The final dossier, written and discussed in class, will be handed in at the end of the semester.
Other information
The assignments for this course are designed to develop students' ability to present and analyse cultural experiences and to develop a personal and critical point of view on these activities. The assignments must therefore be written by the students without assistance. The use of artificial intelligence is therefore prohibited in this course.
