What is a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)?

A Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a new learning opportunity supported by the Erasmus+ framework. It combines short-term mobility with innovative activities, allowing students to experience international learning in a flexible and engaging way.

BIPs bring together participants from different universities to work on a specific academic or professional theme. Each programme includes a short on-site session hosted by one of our partner institutions.

These programmes are designed to offer an international experience that fits easily into busy schedules, while helping participants develop valuable skills, expand their network, and discover new perspectives.

A BIP is a short-term mobility format that combines:

- Physical mobility: A short stay abroad lasting between 5 and 30 days.


- Virtual component: An online learning phase that can take place before, during, or after the physical stay.


- Collaboration: International and interdisciplinary cooperation between students and faculty.


- Workload: The programme is equivalent to 5 ECTS.

Target Audience: Priority is given to M1 students who are not planning an exchange during their M2 year.


Recognized Institutions: All BIPs organized by LSM’s European partner universities listed on this page are recognized, with a priority for those within the Circle U. alliance.


Academic Integration: Recognized credits will appear in the M2 Annual Programme (PAE). 

They replace:

 

1) An "alternative course to exchange" if the student remains at LSM during Q1 of M2.

 

2) One exchange course (5 ECTS) if the student goes on exchange in M2 Q1, meaning they only need to take 25 ECTS abroad instead of 30.


Multiple BIPs: If a student wishes to participate in more than one BIP, the Jury will decide on the valuation of additional credits

Important: Students may participate in a maximum of 1 BIP / semester and up to 3 BIPs / study cycle (Master's Degree).

BIPs are funded by the Erasmus+ programme. Participants can apply for:


Travel grant: A flat rate based on distance.


Individual support: Approximately €79/day for the physical stay (up to 14 days).


Top-ups: Additional support is available for "green travel" or participants with fewer opportunities/specific needs

The Summer and Winter Schools Can Help You Widen Your Horizons!

Take part in the Summer and Winter schools to have the opportunity to network with students from around Europe, and add international experience to your career. 

What is a Summer/Winter School?

A Summer or Winter School is an intensive programme organized by a university, typically lasting 1 to 4 weeks (most commonly 2 weeks) focusing on a predefined theme.

Target Audience: Exclusively for M1 students.


Recognized Institutions: Only Summer Schools organized by European partner universities of the LSM are recognized. Courses must be at the Master’s level.


Credit Value: Regardless of the credits offered by the host university, the LSM recognizes a maximum of 5 ECTS.


Validation: Credits are awarded based on the transcript and certificate of achievement provided by the student.


Academic Integration: Similar to BIPs, these 5 ECTS replace either an "alternative course to exchange" or one 5-ECTS course during a Q1 M2 exchange.

Summer Schools are not eligible for Erasmus+ funding; all costs are the responsibility of the participating student.

Available Summer and Winter Schools 

Join KEDGE Business School for their next Winter School experience:

Academic Excellence in Paris: Spend 1 to 2 weeks (January 11 - 22, 2027) at the KEDGE Parisian campus, blending interactive education with business visits and cultural activities in the heart of the French capital.

Strategic Specializations: Dive into the "Disruptive Technologies & Modern Management" programme taught entirely in English. You can select one or both specialized tracks focusing on modern technological challenges: Business Intelligence & Analytics (Week 1) and Creating Customer Value with Innovative Technologies (Week 2).

Eligibility Restriction: Please note that this programme is not open to students enrolled in the following tracks: Business Analytics, Marketing Strategy for Connected Brands, or Customer Value Creation.

Join Copenhagen Business School for their next Summer School experience:

Academic Excellence in Copenhagen: Spend 2 to 6 weeks (between June 28 and August 6, 2027) at Copenhagen Business School, blending high-level education with a rich social programme, including guided tours and cultural day trips in the heart of Denmark.

Strategic Specializations: Dive into a variety of graduate courses combining classic business disciplines with more diverse and modern subjects. The full master's course catalogue will be announced during December 2026.

Flexible Course Structure: Select a 2-week, 3-week, or 6-week course format to fit your summer schedule. Please note that 2-week and 3-week courses cannot be combined with any other course type.

Join Toulouse School of Management for their next Winter School experience:

Academic Excellence in Toulouse: Spend 1 week (February 15 - 19, 2027) at the TSM Campus, blending intensive theoretical education with afternoon company visits in the industry and cultural excursions in the beautiful "Ville Rose."

Strategic Specializations: Dive into the "Innovation, AI and Entrepreneurship in a Global World" programme taught entirely in English. You will explore the management of high-tech industries with a particular focus on the aerospace sector, develop innovative business models, and learn how to deliver impactful pitches.

Practical Information: Partner university students benefit from a preferential fee of €450, which covers the academic programme and scheduled site visits. Please note that accommodation, travel, and meals are not included.

Join WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) for their next Summer School experience:

Academic Excellence in Vienna: Spend 3 weeks (June 28 – July 16, 2027) at WU participating in the International Summer UniversityWU (ISUWU), blending high-level education with a unique international experience in Austria.

Strategic Specializations: Dive into specialized graduate courses tailored for modern business and management challenges. You can select one course per session:

Weeks 1-2 (June 29 - July 7): Designing for Good: From Theory to Practice in Sustainable Marketing OR Mastering Events – Strategic Insights from the Sports, Music and Entertainment Industry

Weeks 2-3 (July 8 - July 17): Sense and Purpose in Leading people - The Holistic Approach OR Sustainable Business: Managing for Tomorrow

Join WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) for their next Spring School experience:

Academic Excellence in Vienna: Spend 2 weeks (May 10 – May 21, 2027) at WU, blending interactive morning classes with afternoon project work, coaching sessions, and social activities in the Austrian capital.

Strategic Specializations: Dive into the graduate-level Vienna Innovation Program (5 ECTS) focusing on "Human and AI – The Future of Innovation." You will work alongside WU and international students to tackle real-life challenges, exploring topics such as sustainability innovation, the human role in new technologies, and innovation ecosystems. (Note: Only the graduate track is eligible for LSM students).
