The first step is getting your work published: Making it past the in-house review,
a seminar with Charlene Polio, Bethany Gray, and Serge Sharoff
When? Thursday 17 April, 2 – 4 pm
Where? ERAS53
Are you a junior (or not so junior) researcher looking to get your work published in (applied) linguistics? Join us for the seminar "The first step is getting your work published: Making it past the in-house review," led by Charlene Polio (Michigan State University), co-editor of TESOL Quarterly and past associate editor of the Modern Language Journal, alongside Bethany Gray (Iowa State University), co-editor of Register Studies, and Serge Sharoff (University of Leeds).
Charlene will begin with a brief introduction, followed by a roundtable discussion with Bethany and Serge, where participants can ask questions and engage in an open conversation. This is a great opportunity to gain insights into what editors look for, common pitfalls to avoid, and how to strengthen your submission from the start.
Don’t miss this chance to take the first step toward publication success!
