Prof. Sheperd Doeleman seminar on Monday 27 March

The American astrophysicist Professor Sheperd S. Doeleman (https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/sdoeleman) will be the recipient of the Prix Georges Lemaître 2023.

Founding director of the Event Horizon Telescope, Shepherd S. Doeleman led the international team of more than 200 researchers that successfully built and synchronized a global network of radiotelescopes to form a virtual telescope the size of Earth. The team captured the world's first image of a supermassive black hole in 2019.
