Prof. Dr. Yves De Rongé
Professor and Researcher

Prof. Dr. De Rongé is a Emeritus Professor at Louvain School of Management of UCLouvain in charge of teaching and research in Accounting, management Control, Sustainability reporting and Regenerative Economics and was a former dean of lAG-Louvain School of Management. He is also a part-time professor at Université Saint Louis, Bruxelles, and a visiting professor in various Belgian and foreign universities e.g. KUL, Université de Liège, Laval, IMI Kiev, St Petersbourg, Strasbourg, Lille, EDHEC, SKEMA, etc. He has been a member of the Editorial Management Committee of Comptabilité Contrôle Audit and Reading Committee of Finance Contrôle et Stratégie, Society and Business review, editorial director of Comptabilité, Contrôle et Finance Séries with De Boeck Editors, financial consultant, and member of board of directors.

 

Josep Oriol Izquierdo Montfort 
Researcher and PhD Candidate

Josep Oriol Izquierdo Montfort holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (ESADE, 2012) and a Master of Science in International Management (ESADE, 2013). After eight years of professional experience as an entrepreneur and consultant specializing in regional economic development policies, he transitioned to academia to pursue a PhD and explore the implementation of the circular economy by firms. Since 2020, he has been a PhD researcher in Economics and Management Sciences at UCLouvain, working within the Candriam Chair of Circular and Regenerative Economy. His research focuses on circular business models—particularly their classification, implementation, and financial impact—as a key enabler of the transition to a more sustainable economy. His PhD has led to three academic articles, two best paper awards, and the participation in a dozen international conferences.

 

Dr. Petchprakai Sirilertsuwan
Past Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Sirilertsuwan has multidisciplinary, multicultural educational and professional background. She was a business owner, consultant, and social startup entrepreneur. She has over a decade of experience in business development and operations including sourcing, international trade, and wholesaling and retailing through both brick-and-mortar and online stores. She was a consultant to enterprises in manufacturing and purchasing strategies, franchising feasibility analysis, setting-up point-of-sale and inventory systems, and digital transformation. Since 2016, she has conducted research to support sustainable supply chains through proximity manufacturing decisions, sustainable multi-tier supply network design, circular economy business models, as well as sustainability factors and performance measurement. During 2018-2022, she has published four peer-reviewed journal articles and one book chapter. She received a full scholarship for her bachelor study and First-Class Honors degree in Communications Engineering from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand. She received Erasmus Mundus scholarships from the European Commission to pursue her master and PhD studies. She received MSc degrees in Industrial Management from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. She pursued her PhD studies and research in the Sustainable Management and Design for Textiles program at the University of Boras, Sweden, the University of Lille and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textile, France, and Soochow University, China. Membership: the Academy of Management, the European Operations and Management Association (EurOMA), and the Nordic logistics research network (NOFOMA)
