The Windshaper wind wall has now been officially inaugurated!

On Friday, September 11, the team of Prof. Philippe Chatelain and Prof. Denis-Gabriel Caprace officially inaugurated WindShaper, the new wind wall of the iMMC Institute, located on the CREDEM platform.
The event brought together representatives from UCLouvain and several universities from both Wallonia and Flanders, as well as industry stakeholders, particularly from the wind energy sector.
Several research projects are currently being conducted using this facility, focusing on wind turbine wakes and their interactions with other machines, helicopter rotor-turbulence interactions, drones, aircraft, and photovoltaic panels.
The inauguration provided an opportunity to demonstrate in practical terms how this new facility can bridge research, education, and innovation, while also creating new opportunities for collaboration with industry.
