UCLouvain is launching micro-credentials, with an initial series branded SMCS in the field of data analysis applied to life sciences

These are short, targeted, and certified training courses designed for people who wish to acquire skills that can be immediately applied. They can also be combined to create a personalized learning pathway tailored to your needs.

At the beginning of 2026, you have the opportunity to train in data analysis applied to the life sciences (biology, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry).

In the coming months, the SMCS platform offers you the opportunity to participate in one or more of the following training courses:

• BIOMOD micro-credentials - Modeling and Multivariate Analysis in the Life Sciences: Statistical modeling and multivariate analysis methods for understanding biological systems [starting March 23, 2026].
• INDUSTAT micro-credentials - Statistics Applied to Industrial Processes: Design of Experiments, statistical quality tools, fundamentals of metrology and method validation [starting April 13, 2026].
• BIODATA micro-credentials - Biological and Medical Data Analysis: Advanced techniques for exploring biological and medical data [starting April 21, 2026].
• CHEMOMICS micro-credentials - Multivariate Analysis of Omics and Chemical Data: Advanced statistical methods for the integration and interpretation of omics and chemical data [starting June 1, 2026].
