Manuel Valente

Manuel Sá Valente is a scientific collaborator at the Hoover Chair and a researcher at the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society (UMinho). Manuel received his PhD in Philosophy from UCLouvain in October 2022. He has since then taught at Leiden University, UCLille, and UCLouvain and contributed to building the first index of intergenerational justice for Portugal. His research focuses on theories of social justice - especially across generations, age groups, and people who live unequally long lives - and their intersection with public policy. Manuel´s research has already appeared in journals such as the Journal of Applied Philosophy, Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, Res Publica, and Law, Ethics and Philosophy.
