Language Institute - ILV

Are you interested in learning French or another language?

All the important information about French courses can be found on the ILV website.

French classes are free, but only if you have it in your Learning Agreement signed by your home university.
If you can’t add a French course in your Learning Agreement, you can attend French classes as a free student (additional enrolment fees).

The information session will take place at the language institute called ILV just before the semester begins.

💻 Level test for the French courses will be accessible on Moodle.

📆 Timetables and classrooms are updated online: https://monhoraire.uclouvain.be/calendar/

Once timetables are finalised, they will be available on ILV website (under the 'schedules & classrooms' tab at the bottom of the page).

🔜 Courses start from the 1st day of the semester. You have to go even though you haven’t done the orientation test because groups are created on “first arrive, first serve” basis”.

📍 No enrolment before going to the course. Teachers need to talk to students in class, to make sure they are on a course suited to their needs. Enrolment procedure will be explained in class and at the information session.
