Welcome to the Louvain School of Engineering!
If you have been selected at your home university for an exchange programme during one semester or a full academic year in our institution, the following pages are made for you. You will find here a whole lot of useful general information about UCL.
At Louvain School of Engineering we wish to provide you with all the necessary information to prepare your stay with us in the best way. You will find information about our Engineering and computer science programmes as well as practical information about the university facilities, housing, cultural and student life in the city of Louvain-la-Neuve.
Before the start of each semester, a Louvain School of Engineering Welcome Event is organised for new international students. An invitation will be sent to all our selected exchange students (attendance required).
The programme for this Louvain School of Engineering Welcome Session includes the following:
- The Vice-Dean for international Affairs will officially welcome you and present the EPL (Louvain School of Engineering / Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain)
- The Mobility Coordinators will explain all the administrative steps that need to be taken to start your semester well (Learning Agreements, enrolment to courses, etc.)
- Local students associations will inform you about life on the campus and specific events organized for international students
- The presentations will be followed by a walking dinner (drinks and tapas)
When: On the 1st day of class of each semester
Where: The library « Bibliothèque des sciences et technologies & Learning center Pasteur » (BST) – 1st floor, Place Pasteur 2 at 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve
