Discussion on AI and Ethics with Dr Joanna Bryson
Coinciding with her honorary doctorate award from UCLouvain Faculty of Sciences, the CEFISES in the Institute of Philosophy (ISP) and the Hoover Chair are pleased to host Dr Joanna Bryson for a discussion. She is a leading expert in artificial intelligence, ethics, and governance.
Dr Bryson is Professor of Ethics and Technology at the Hertie School of Berlin. She holds a Master’s in AI and a Master’s in Psychology from Edinburgh, and a PhD from MIT. Her research focuses on embedding ethics into AI and robotics, advocating for transparency and accountability. A recognised expert in AI governance, she represents Germany in global AI policy discussions and contributes to international efforts on responsible AI development and regulation.
