Prof. Jean-François Maystadt (UCLouvain and Lancaster University) and Prof. Anna Maria Mayda (Georgetown University) have been interviewed by Tim Philips from VOXeu Talk to discuss their working paper that studies the impact of refugees on community health.

While some studies show that the arrival of migrants has a positive economic impact on the local population, others have found a negative health impact. A new discussion paper by Anna Maria Mayda of Georgetown University and Jean-François Maystadt of UCLouvain and Lancaster University may help resolve this contradiction, particularly for refugees in Africa.
