Sarah Dethier, PhD researcher at the iMMC – UCLouvain, received the Best Poster Award at the Alloys for Additive Manufacturing Symposium (AAMS 2025), held last week at EPFL Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Her poster, titled “Critical assessment of the defect tolerance of beta-metastable titanium alloys processed by additive manufacturing compared to cast alloys”, presented her ongoing doctoral research on the defect tolerance of beta-metastable titanium alloys processed by laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF).
Congratulations to Sarah on this achievement, and to her iMMC colleagues who contributed to showcasing the quality of iMMC research in the field of additive manufacturing at this international event.
