A new experimental WindShaper for fluid mechanics research
immc | Louvain-la-Neuve
The team of Philippe Chatelain has installed an exceptional windshapper at the CREDEM technology platform.
What makes it unique?
- Exceptional dimensions, enabling large-scale experiments
- Precise and flexible flow control, allowing experimental conditions that cannot be reproduced in conventional facilities
This equipment opens up new and exciting perspectives for the coming years in different domains:
- Wind energy
- Aerodynamics (particularly in aerospace)
- Robotics and biomimetics
- Civil engineering
A major step forward for our institute, strengthening iMMC’s position as a leading player in experimental fluid mechanics and aerodynamics research.
