The team of Philippe Chatelain has installed an exceptional windshapper at the CREDEM technology platform.

What makes it unique?

  • Exceptional dimensions, enabling large-scale experiments
  • Precise and flexible flow control, allowing experimental conditions that cannot be reproduced in conventional facilities

This equipment opens up new and exciting perspectives for the coming years in different domains:

  • Wind energy
  • Aerodynamics (particularly in aerospace)
  • Robotics and biomimetics
  • Civil engineering

A major step forward for our institute, strengthening iMMC’s position as a leading player in experimental fluid mechanics and aerodynamics research.
