Programme structure

The bachelor's program in modern languages and literature, Germanic orientation, totals 180 credits divided into three annual blocks (3 x 60 credits). It comprises 160 credits of general training and a 20-credit opening or in-depth option. The bachelor's program has two main components: (1) general training in the humanities; (2) methodological, disciplinary and practical training in two Germanic languages (English, German and Dutch). The choice of opening or deepening options is linked to the general training, while enabling students to envisage future training (in particular the link with the 2nd cycle) or even reorientation at the end of the first cycle.
