A 3D printed film for joints: integrated manufacturing, toughening and properties tuning by Charline Van Innis22 SepMany complex structures such as airplanes are made of dissimilar materials, combining for instance Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Composites and metal sheets. Manufacturing these multimaterial structures requires an efficient bonding process, but also high crack propagation resistance.En savoir plusA 3D printed film for joints: integrated manufacturing, toughening and properties tuning by Charline Van Innis22 SepMany complex structures such as airplanes are made of dissimilar materials, combining for instance Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Composites and metal sheets. Particle deposition in wall-bounded turbulent flows by B. Lessani18 AugParticle dispersion and deposition in a fully developed turbulent channel flow are investigated using direct numerical simulation. The combined effect of gravity and the Saffman lift force on the particle deposition velocities in upward and downward channel flows are considered. The results are compared with recent experimental measurements and numerical benchmark solutions.En savoir plusParticle deposition in wall-bounded turbulent flows by B.
