Dimitry Kochenov is an expert in citizenship, nationality and immigration law and constitutional law of the European Union with a particular emphasis on the Rule of Law and other key principles of EU law, EU external relations law, and EU Law of the Overseas: the former colonial possessions and their upgraded ties with the European Union.
There is a certain passion to the law, so he published widely on these subjects, including ten books and roughly a hundred articles and essays.
His Chair in EU Constitutional law is at Groningen. Besides, he holds a visiting professorship at the College of Europe in Natolin and chair the Investment Migration Council, a global association of investment migration professionals.
To make an impact outside the ivory tower, he consults governments and international institutions (Kingdom of the Netherlands; the Maltese Republic; European Parliament, EU Overseas Countries and Territories Association) and acts as expert for leading law firms (Clifford Chance; Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt; Henley & Partners) on the subjects of his interest.
