Dominique Geissler is a Ph.D.candidate at the Institute of AI in Managementat LMU Munich. Previously, she studied European public administration and interaction technology at the University of Twente, where she looked at the interaction between humans and AI tools. With her background in political science and AI, she is passionate about applying new AI technologies to answer societal questions. Her research interests lie in the field of computational social science, where she conducts research in social media analytics, applied machine learning and fairness in AI. To this end, she has analysed the presence of gender bias in children’s books with computational methods. Recently, she researched the extend and actors of the Russian propaganda campaign on Twitter during the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
