Optional Information Systems Engineering
Students follow the two courses in this track (12 ECTS)
Students who want to follow the Master of Business Information Systems Engineering at KU Leuven have to follow this track and a limited number of ECTS of the Preparatory Programme MHIR(B) / MBISE. Students who go on exchange in the first semester and want to include track courses in their programme proposal have to carefully check if their host university offers equivalent courses to be granted exemptions from the Preparatory Programme MHIR(B)/MBISE.

Mandatory Elective Courses
Students have to follow at least 180 ECTS and no more than 182 ECTS to complete the Bachelor of Business Engineering programme. Therefore:
  • Students who follow the Business and Strategy track select elective courses for at least 8 ECTS and no more than 10 ECTS.
  • Students who follow the Information Systems Engineering track select elective courses for at least 7 ECTS and no more than 9 ECTS.
  • Students who follow the Economics track select elective courses:
    • For at least 9 and no more than 11 ECTS if they follow 10 ECTS in the Economics track
    • For at least 8 and no more than 10 ECTS if they follow 11 ECTS in the Economics track
    • For at least 7 and no more than 9 ECTS if they follow 12 ECTS in the Economics track
Students cannot choose an elective that already is part of the track they have choosen.
