2006-2018 Research assistant at Architecture et Climat – LOCI - UCLouvain (full-time from 2006 to 2014, half-time since then)
Research projects in the context of regional funding, oriented towards practice and communication.
- 2017-2018: environmental optimization of a class pre-fab module in the context of a project for the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles with architecture offices MATADOR and KISS Studio and other partners. The research focused on thermal confort (overheating) and impacts of building materials.
- 2017-2018: Demonstration project SUD (Sustainable Urban Design), following the project developed between 2010 et 2013
- 2016 - 2017 : Opticost – financial and ecological optimization through design, with cstc
- 2013 - 2016 : Guidelines for sustainable retrofit of schools of the Walloon region, with Coralie Cauwerts www.renovermonecole.be
- 2010-2013 : Demonstration project SUD (Sustainable Urban Design), with IEA 41:
Research focused on the application of sustainable development principles on the case of an existing block, located in Louvain-La-Neuve. Developped areas of research: Program, mobility, energy, water cycle and sustainable sanitation, materials and waste, biodiversity, process, and so on. Two preliminary architecture projects have been proposed to support the theoretical report.

In addition to the SUD project, involvement in IEA task 41: “Solar energy and Architecture”. This task of the international energy agency was focused on the architectural integration of solar active technologies.
- 2008-2010 : Guide for designing new sustainable houses
- Research focused on evaluation of risks and strategies related to overheating in passive and low energy single houses. Dynamic simulation have been ran with TRNSyS
- Writing of a book giving information and guidelines on different themes of sustainable architecture. The book includes results of simulations and information taken from literature to offer a comprehensive view of each topic.
