Louis (Jean) le Hardÿ de Beaulieu - Ph.D., LL.M. Int. – is Professor of Law of International Relations at the Université catholique de Louvain and at the University of Namur (BE); President of the Royal Belgian Marine Society; Member of the scientific council of the Royal Higher Institute for Defence (BE); Member scientific council of the Center for the study of Military Law and the Law of War ; Member of the Belgian group of the International Society for Military Law and the Law of War; Member of the Franco-Belgian Research institute Borders and Discontinuities ; Visiting Professor at the Royal Defence College (Brussels - BE) ; Honorary Secretary general of the Interuniversity center for European Studies.
His main courses and reseach orientations are related to the Law of International relations; International Law of the sea ; Maritime and strategic studies; International organizations; Institutional Law of the European Union; Belgian federalism and international relations and the Principles of the Belgian Public Law.
He is the author of numerous publications and contributions in the field of Public International Law, Belgian Public law and International relations.
