Pedro Valinho Gomes is a research fellow of the Sedes Sapientiae Foundation at the Religions, Spiritualities, Cultures, Societies Research Institute [UCLouvain]. He is a member of the Research Centre for Theology and Religious Studies [UCP] and of the Scientific Council of the Chair of Poetry and Transcendence Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen [UCP]. He is a doctoral student in the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium [2019-], where he obtained a canonical license in Theology [STL, 2020]. Previously, he obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Portugal [2011], specialising in Philosophy of Religion with a Thesis on "The reinvention of Forgiveness: an approach from the works of Paul Ricoeur", and a license in Theology from the Catholic University of Portugal and the Catholic University of Eastern Africa [STB, 2005]. He was the director of the Pilgrimage Management Department of the Shrine of Fatima [2017-2019], director of the Centre for Culture and Christian Formation of the Diocese of Leiria-Fatima[2013-2019], an invited lecturer at the Health School of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria [2012-2017] and at the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Portugal [2012-2014]. He was also a Theological Consultant to the Francisco and Jacinta Marto Foundation [2012-2016].
