Academic calendar, Learning Agreement, Courses and Timetable

2023/2024 and 2024/2025                    

                                                                                

You are invited to choose your courses from the following two lists (choose the one that corresponds to the periode of your exchange stay) :

Compulsory course:

• The course LDROI1053 Contemporary legal Issues: a Belgian perspective is compulsory (except for students coming from Belgium) - Please indicate the course on your Learning Agreement (5 credits ECTS). www.uclouvain.be/cours-2023-ldroi1053

 

We do not need a proof of your French or English level because we do trust your home university with sending student capable to take courses in French or English (minimum of B2).

We only advice the student to speak a bit French in order to live and communicate in the city.

 

Free french course:

Institut des langues vivantes (ILV) allows exchange students to take free French course up to maximum 10 credits/semester or 16 credits/year.

The French Course is free of charge only if the course is indicated in your learning agreement and signed by your home university.

Timetables and Classrooms are updated online.

No Enrolment before going to the course. Enrolment procedure will be explained in class and at the information session.

 

 

• Go to My UCL account (virtual desktop) ;

• Click on "Customize my dashboard" and then on "Widget mes horaires/my timetable" ;

• Fulfill the courses by indicating the specific code and number (without space) and by separating the code with a comma (i.e.: LFIRM2207, LDROI1281) ;

• Click on "Save widget settings" ;

• Your timetable will appear on screen ;

• Drag the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen until you find the date (i.e.: S2 13/09/20xx).

 If the courses do not overlap, this means you do not have scheduling-conflict.

 This timetable can change (professor not available - change of date, amphitheater,...). Please make sure to check every week if there are any changes.

 Timetable of « exercices pratiques » is tailor-made for each student from a Belgian univeristy or from Luxembourg. It will be done at the beginning of the academic year based on the student courses. EP are compulsory.

 

 

 

Create a Learning Agreement:

You have two possibilities depending of your home insititution choice :

1. On the Mobility Online platform

or

2. On the Online Learning Agreement platform

It is up to your home university which courses you can choose. We allow you to select Bachelor and/or Master courses, in French and/or English.

However, we require a minimum of 20 ECTS (4 courses) including 5 ECTS for the compulsory course LDROI1053.

For exemple, you can select the compulsory course + one French course + two law courses. You can choose maximum 2 courses in another faculty (criminology, management, psychology, etc.).

 

Register to your courses at UCLouvain:

You need to register to your courses on your UCLouvain virtual student desk.

My UCL" -  "Mon dossier étudiant" -  "Ma composition de programme annuel" - "DRT IN"

 

Change your courses:

You have three weeks as from the first day of classes (in September and in February) to change your courses.

We advice you to meet teachers in order to understand the modalities of the courses and exams as well as the level of French and/or English requested.

Please update your learning agreement on Mobility Online or on Online Learning Agreement as well as on your UCLouvain student virtual desk.
