Robustness for Tabular Machine Learning: A Back-and-Forth Journey between Research and Industry

Professor Emeritus at UCLouvain, Yurii Nesterov has received one of the 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬

The ICTEAM Thesis Award 2026 was granted to Nicolas Roisin for his thesis entitled "Optical and Electrical Properties of Highly Strained Silicon towards Extended Infrared Photodetection" (supervisors: Denis Flandre & Jean-Pierre Raskin). The selection jury also awarded a special mention for scientific impact to Clément Hoffmann, and a special mention for commitment to Vincent Kaschten.
