Circle U. is a European university alliance founded in 2020, bringing together nine prestigious universities across Europe: Aarhus University, University of Oslo, Humboldt University of Berlin, University of Belgrade, King's College London, University of Pisa, University of Vienna, Paris Cité University and UCLouvain.
This alliance is part of the European Commission's "European Universities" initiative, aimed at creating a transnational network of universities to promote education, research, and innovation.
Circle U. stands out for its interdisciplinary and research-focused approach, aiming to contribute to more sustainable, healthy and democratic societies.
The goals of Circle U. include enhancing student and staff mobility (both physical and virtual), developing joint programs around key issues, fostering research, promoting interdisciplinarity, and encouraging civic engagement.
With 500,000 students and 65,000 staff members, Circle U. values the diversity of cultures and perspectives, which is essential to this inclusive project.
