Dear all,
I am not in the second round of our University’s rectoral election. And yet I feel like I won!
I won because this campaign has been a magnificent human adventure. I met so many faces, heard so many voices, read so many messages.
I won because I was able to share my convictions and vision. I sowed seeds that I hope will continue to germinate in some minds.
And I won because together we fuelled the democratic debate. The University asked itself some important questions that will shape its future.
I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all those who stood by me during this campaign. Your support touched me deeply.
I would also like to thank Geneviève and Françoise for the quality of our discussions. You ran a great campaign. I wish you all the best for the future!
Of course, part of me is disappointed. But that in no way diminishes my enthusiasm for and availability to our University.
My commitment to our Alma Mater remains intact.
Together, let’s continue to boldly dream in order to improve our University!
With sincere gratitude,
Alain
