Rectoral Election : the candidates answer staff questions

ELREC

From 25 to 27 March, UCLouvain staff and students – more than 46,000 voters – will choose their new rector. As you know, three candidates are standing for election: Geneviève Schamps, Françoise Smets and Alain Vas.

After learning about their programmes and motivations, we invite you to get to know each of the candidates via video.

Candidates also answered ten questions posed by scientific staff (CORSCI), academic staff (CORA), administrative and technical staff (CORTA) and the Louvain Student General Assembly (LGA). The questions, approved by the Electoral Commission, cover a range of issues:

  • university governance
  • education and research challenges
  • staff and student well-being
  • the university’s position on major social issues (energy transition, inclusion, etc.)
