The main scope of my research is to understand and predict the mechanical behaviour of materials based on experiments and modeling at both the micro and macro scales. Using advanced experimental techniques, I probe the deformation and the evolution of microstructure (incl. potential damage, phase changes and crystallographic texture) and use this to assess original micromechanical models. The case studies span from technologically-oriented contribution to the development of high performance metallic alloys to more fundamental studies of the mechanics of biological and geological materials.
