My research focuses on the relationship between philosophy and theology.
My current project deals with the thought of Étienne Gilson (1884-1978) in dialogue with the theologians of his time, such as Henri de Lubac, Karl Barth, Vladimir Lossky and Myrrha Lot-Borodine.
Étienne Gilson, one of the leading Thomistic philosophers in the 20th century, played a considerable role in the development of theology, either through his friendship with certain theologians, or as a teacher capable of inspiring disciples. Gilson's dialogue with theologians sheds new light on the major issues addressed: the relationship between truth and history, nature and grace, ecumenism, etc. The current revival of the speculative dimension in theology and of realism in philosophy makes a new reading of Gilson's work relevant for today.
Previously, I have mainly studied the arguments for atheism, particularly in Nietzsche, in connection with his theory of knowledge and with modern philosophy (Hume, Kant, etc.). I also studied the affirmative side of Nietzsche's philosophy of religion.
Keywords: fundamental theology - philosophy of religion - history of ideas - atheism - 20th century
