The Placet Centre is a residence for UCLouvain's international/national students from the partner countries of Belgian cooperation, recognised and subsidised by the Directorate General for Cooperation (DGD) since 1973.
Each year, more than a hundred residents are accommodated, members of the Placet, based on a participatory citizen project in which the resident students are actors during their stay, thanks to the infrastructure and resources provided by Placet, with the support of a team of permanent staff.
From the moment they arrive at Placet, residents are receiving a personalised welcome, social and civic support throughout their stay, and support for social and academic integration. In return, our residents undertake to adhere to the values of the Placet, to live and foster intercultural relations through numerous cultural, creative and festive activities that are organised throughout the year.
Much more than just accommodation, it is a community life project for its residents during their studies at UCLouvain.
