PhD candidate at the University of Namur
When I was proposed to study one year abroad at the University of Warsaw, my first thought was that it would be a thrilling and interesting experience. Eventually, discovering Eastern European culture through lectures at one of the best universities in Poland has had a deterministic and positive influence on my vision of economics : having teachers and researchers of excellence is a key advantage in one’s cursus.
In Warsaw, emphasis is put on the quality of learning, and graduates from this University have an extensive baggage in understanding economic theory as well as applied work. It goes without saying that this is a huge advantage with regard to “regular” students.
After 4 months in Dublin thanks to the Erasmus program, I wanted to extend the experience abroad and the UCL offered me this opportunity. Erasmus has for sure become the norm, but the Joint-Degree is a huge step beyond.
