On 26 October, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Professors Patrick Boucheron (Collège de France), Oded Galor (University of Brown) and Joan Tronto (University of Minnesota), Doctor Honoris Causa (DHC) of our Humanities sector.

The ceremony will take place from 16.30 in the Foyer du Lac of the Aula Magna. Activities will be planned with the DHCs of the sector throughout the week. (Details will follow in the coming weeks).

 
 
 
Patrick Boucheron

A historian of power in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, and a professor at the Collège de France, he defends the possibility of a committed and scholarly discourse at the heart of the public uses of history.

Oded Galor

Professor of Economics at Brown University (USA), he is the founder of the unified growth theory and a pioneer in research on the interaction between diversity and economic development. His research has shed light on the process of development on a macro-historical scale.

A professor of political science at the University of Minnesota and a leading figure in American feminist thought, she has theorised and popularised the concept of the ethics of care.
