Entrepreneurship: INEO course ranked second worldwide

For 25 years, UCLouvain has guided students along the path to entrepreneurship through the Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Course (INEO, formerly the Interdisciplinary Course in Business Creation, or CPME), the world’s second-best entrepreneurship course according to the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking 2022.

Eduniversal ranks the best master’s programmes in the world. INEO is ranked second in the entrepreneurship category, between the programmes of Babson College (USA) and ESADE Business School (Spain).

INEO: entrepreneurship in all its forms

Previously known as CPME, INEO is one of Belgium’s largest entrepreneurship programmes. On its 25th anniversary, to promote all forms of entrepreneurship (takeovers, intrapreneurship, etc.), the programme adopted a new name. Derived from Latin, the verb “ineo” means “I undertake” (French: “j’entreprends”) and reflects the course’s emphasis on taking action.

INEO is based on active learning, preparing students for professional life through practical work and field activities. The multidisciplinary programme encourages exchanges and allows students to become familiar with other areas of expertise. Students in any of several faculties are eligible to apply to INEO, which is the entrepreneurship option of 30 master’s programmes in nine UCLouvain faculties.

An internationally renowned course

What do the Brussels Beer Project, Gocar.be and Wilfried magazine have in common? Their founders are INEO graduates. Since its launch, the course has enabled more than 700 graduates to create hundreds of companies. INEO is the best entrepreneurial training programme in Europe and the ranking once again attests to the programme’s quality and international influence.
