The UCLouvain student app is here

The wait is over: the UCLouvain student mobile app is now available in French and English. Best of all, Stud@Uclouvain was created by students.

Download your class schedule, locate a lecture hall, consult library hours, read university and faculty news – these are some of the features offered by the Stud@Uclouvain app, which was recently made available as a free download. It’s an open source smartphone application created by Louvain School of Engineering students as part of their dissertation.

Students wanted the app to be both rich and user-friendly – rich in the sense of going beyond strictly practical information (schedules, online student bulletin boards, maps, services, etc.), thus the app offers wide-ranging information concerning many aspects of student life: a cultural agenda (through a partnership with the Louvainfo platform), sport schedules (in collaboration with the Sport and Fitness Service), university restaurant menus, the Guindaille 2.0 application and more – and user-friendly in that all data are accessible via nine clearly identified homepage pictograms (photo). Functionality is very simple and requires, at first use, choosing a campus. Students can choose the French or English version.

Stud@UCLouvain will be developed further in the future, again by students, including expansion to the Tournai and Saint-Gilles campuses, which are not yet covered. As the app is open source, anyone wishing to enhance it is invited to contact its designers. To do so, as well as for further information, visit https://facebook.com/stud.uclouvain.

The app can be downloaded for Android from Google Play and for iOs from the Apple Store.
