I conducted a PhD on fitting and interpolation on Riemannian manifolds. Manifolds are nonlinear topological spaces. They do not behave like Euclidean spaces globally but they do locally. This enables to develop tools for optimization (for instance) that integrate nonlinear constraints within the space itself.
I am interrested in topics related: optimization, interpolation, curve fitting, representation of physical problems on manifolds.As a post-doc (2022), I joined three projects about Hydraulics : the first one consists in estimating the rate of flow of a river based on movies of it; the second one consists in estimating the water flow within a river based on finite volumes techniques; the third one is related to the management of water supply in developping countries.
