Major in circuits and electronic systems
The goal of this major (which it shares with master’s degree programs in electricity and electro-mechanics) is to introduce students to system design techniques, computer aided simulation, manufacturing and experimental characterisation of components and circuits (both analogue and numerical) as well as mixed systems. Emphasis is placed on practical applications and the completion of projects.
Students wishing to validate this option must select a minimum of 15 credits from the courses offered.
Courses LELEC2660 and LELEC2811 cannot be chosen by students enrolled in the Master's programme in Electro-mechanical Engineering as part of the option.

Major in dynamics, robotics and biomechanics
The goal of this major (which it shares with master’s degree programs in electricity and electro-mechanics) is to give students a complete education in this field. All phases of the mechanical manufacturing process are studied from the design stage to putting manufacturing techniques into place to production planning and the organisation of workshops. In addition, students will learn about important technological techniques (machine parts) as well as solid mechanics (elasticity and plasticity) in order to master the processing, behaviour and use of common materials. Finally, attention is paid to methods used in the fields of automation and robotics.

The class LELME 2732 may not be taken as part of this major by ELME (mechatronics) students.

Major in nuclear engineering
Common to both the Master's in Electro-mechanical Engineering, specialising in Energy, and the Master's in Mechanical Engineering, this option aims to provide in-depth training in the main aspects of nuclear engineering. Admission to this option, which is mainly organised at the Mol Nuclear Energy Centre, is subject to an assessment of candidates' skills in accordance with the rules used for ERASMUS-SOCRATES exchange applications. Major in Interdisciplinary Program in Entrepreneurship - INEO
The aim of this option, which is common to most EPL masters' programmes, is to familiarise students with the specifics of entrepreneurship and business creation, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary for starting a business.
The interdisciplinary entrepreneurship training (INEO) is an option that spans two years and is integrated into over 30 Master's programmes across 9 faculties/schools at UCLouvain.
Choosing the INEO option requires completing an interfaculty dissertation (in teams) focused on a business creation project. Access to this option, as well as to each of its courses, is limited to students selected based on their application.

Students who choose this option must select a minimum of 20 credits and a maximum of 25 credits. This option is not available in English and cannot be taken simultaneously with the "Business Risks and Opportunity" option.
