The ILV – Language Institute of the UCLouvain offers course units (UE) in Modern Standard Arabic and dialectal Arabic, from beginner to intermediate level.

Courses are held on the Louvain-la-Neuve campus.
⚠️ Admission requirements ⚠️Modern Standard Arabic course units are not intended for students who have had Arabic as a language of instruction :

Our offer
We offer two types of course units, open to all students :
1) Faculty courses
For students from the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts and Letters only ⇢ Select your FIAL Faculty !
2) "All faculties" courses open to everyone
- UCLouvain students
as part of their study programme (PAE), subject to approval from the ILV Teacher, for final approval by the Faculty Select Committee
outside their programme (as "free students")
as part of the exchange programme, following selection (enrolment via ERAS LV)
- UCLouvain staff members;
- Non-UCLouvain people (free student)
How to register ?
- Select the “All faculties” category, then choose the course code corresponding to your level
- Consult the ILV Registration pages and follow the procedure that applies to your situation.
