Behzad Bamdad is a Traffic and Transportation Modeler with a background in Civil Engineering. He has worked for years as an expert in consultancy and public service. He conducted research, published, and provided consulting services in the field of traffic management, transportation, and urban planning. On February 2020, he joined UCLouvain as a Ph.D. candidate. His Ph.D. research focuses on assessing Belgium's road network resiliency in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) presence. His Ph.D. dissertation offers new traffic simulation tools, methods for evaluating road network resilience, and traffic optimization algorithms. Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Traffic Simulation, Traffic Assignment, Transportation Planning, and Road Network Resilience are among Behzad's research interests.
