Complex interactions rule climate dynamics in polar regions

Louvain-La-Neuve

Polar climate change is driven by interactions between the atmosphere, ocean, sea ice, ice sheets and land surfaces. Estimating the magnitude of the feedbacks between all the components of the climate system is thus key for understanding its dynamics. A new study published May 15 in Nature communications propose an inclusive methodology to quantify the influence of all those feedbacks, stimulating more systematic analyses in observational and climate models (https://rdcu.be/OjXE )
