For a stress-free start to the school year and direct access to the student tools, follow these steps.
In order to take your first steps at UCLouvain as a student, you must first :
Like every student, you have a global UCLouvain user account. Activate this account to access online e-services.
All messages sent by your faculty, your teachers, the administrative services will now arrive at your UCLouvain email address. It is therefore imperative that you consult it regularly.
Your e-mail address is automatically created within 24 hours after the activation of the global account.
On the uclouvain.be website, click on My UCL. You will have access to all the University's information and to your virtual student office. There you will find the "My Studies" Widget to manage your academic career.
You can also customize your desktop to add other useful widgets (email, schedule, news, library catalogue, ...).
This magnetic card will be useful for accessing the libraries, didactic rooms, parking lots... Send us a photo (passport type) from the front, on a white background, so that we can make your access card. This photo will be used throughout your stay at UCLouvain, especially for your student card.
It takes several days to make your access card, so please remember to do this before the start of the school year. The card will be sent to the postal address you provided on your registration form.
Before the start of the school year, check the schedule of your programme regularly to find out about the welcome sessions organized by your faculty, and any changes in schedule or premises.
It is also possible to build your own schedule using the "Schedule" widget available on My UCL once you have made your choices regarding the courses you're going to take.

Once your registration at UCLouvain has been confirmed (you will receive an e-mail), you can fill in your PAE (Annual Student Program) based on your first courses and the information provided by your faculty:
If your Bachelor's degree offers you the opportunity to take a minor or if your Master's program has options, don't forget to register for the minors or options before you register for classes.
Then, on the basis of the calendar that will be communicated to you by your faculty, register for all the courses that make up your Annual Student Program (PAE) so that your proposal can be examined and validated by the Jury. This official registration is an obligatory step, don't forget it!
