While the administrative headquarter of the Université Catholique de Louvain is located in Louvain-la-Neuve (Walloon Brabant), the health science courses have been organized on the site of Brussels since 1973. This university campus includes numerous research laboratories as well as a university hospital whose central pharmacy occupies more than 100 people. It is a unique scientific environment for the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences.

For the teaching, the faculty is endowed with numerous amphitheatres with advanced equipment in the matter of new technologies, in particular for the Podcasting of the courses. Libraries, seminar rooms and computer rooms provide the environment and the tools needed to carry out many individual or group projects.

The trainings in pharmacy and biomedical sciences include a very large number of practical sessions. In this context, students benefit from an exceptional infrastructure: chemistry laboratories are equipped with professional equipment such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, etc. The histology rooms are equipped with dozens of recent microscopes while the molecular and cellular biology laboratories allowing students to carry out genetic manipulations (PCR, electrophoresis, bacterial and cellular cultures). The pharmaceutical galenic laboratory allows the realization of pharmaceutical magistral preparations, from the simple capsule to the sterile injectable solution. The faculty also has a didactic pharmacy, which allows to learn the profession of a chemist. The student has access to software and specific databases of the health sciences.
