Libraries are open to everyone, wether or not a student.
Please notice that yellow code is in use on UCLouvain campus. Restrictions to registration are as following:
Acccess to UCLouvain libraries is restricted to UCLouvain staff and students, and external user with a regular annual subscription.
External user can take or renew an annual subscription. A one-day access card can be issued for students who have not yet received their access card. There is no one-day registration possible for outsiders.

UCLouvain: students and staff
- Staff cards or access cards are delivered automatically.
Former staff and students
- You must have left UCLouvain within the last five years, as proven by your last student card or a UCLouvain certificate.
- Staff member card/student access card or €2.50 day pass
- Access card registration at any library reception: free card reactivation (for students only); otherwise €5 upon presentation of recent colour passport photo, last student card or UCLouvain certificate, and identification card
Alumni
- Dues must be in order (Alumni)
- Access card or €2.50 day pass

Saint-Luc University Hospital: staff
- Access card or €2.50 day pass

Saint-Luc Brussels institutes: students and members
- Students and members of Saint-Luc Brussels Institutes, ESA Saint-Luc (‘Advanced School of the Arts’), ERG (‘Graphic Research School’), EPS Saint-Luc (‘School for Social Advancement’), Saint-Luc Secondary School, ISURU (Graduate Institute of Urban Planning and Renewal)

UCLouvain guest
- Professors, researchers, PhD students, scholarship recipients ... hosted temporarily by UCLouvain

- Temporary pass form to be filled out by hosting department and submitted to library reception.
UCLouvain emeritus/UCLouvain pensioner
- Any emeritus or pensioner staff member can request a library access card.
