► How to contact and get to the faculty
In a few words
“The master's course in public health is intended for students with a bachelor’s degree in one of a wide variety of fields. Most students are adults returning to university. Teachers and professors are in different disciplines: public health, but also medicine, sociology, nursing, economics, biomedical sciences, to name a few. Students and professors thus foster a wide variety of learning experiences.
The common thread of the master's course is to give students the ability to promote health for all, and impart a positive view of health as more than just the absence of disease. Promoting health for all means, on the one hand, being able to measure health and its determinants and, on the other hand, being able to plan, implement and manage interventions, programmes and services to maintain or improve health.
The master's course in public health offers a wide variety of opportunities in Belgium, Europe and abroad: in or outside health care settings, in health education, in voluntary and community settings, and in research and development.”
