We are very pleased to welcome Geovani Nunes Grapiglia as a new Faculty member in ICTEAM.
Geovani obtained his doctoral degree in Mathematics in 2014 at Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), Brazil. Between 2015 and 2021 he worked as Assistant and Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics of UFPR. His research covers the development, analysis and application of optimization methods. Recent works range from derivative-free methods for nonconvex optimization to accelerated high-order methods for convex optimization.
