Welcome to Martin Andraud, new Faculty !

Martin Andraud is a new faculty member of ICTEAM/ELEN.

He received an engineering diploma in microelectronics from Telecom Physics Strasbourg, France, in 2012, the M.S. degree in micro- and nano-electronics from Strasbourg University, France, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in micro- and nano-electronics from TIMA Laboratory, University of Grenoble Alpes, France, in 2016. Between 2016 and 2019, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with TU Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and KU Leuven, Belgium. Prior to joining UCLouvain, he was an assistant professor at Aalto University, Finland, from 2019 to 2023, where he remains as a visiting professor.

His current research interests are the development of all-around AI accelerators, designing customized integrated circuits (chips) and strategies for the next generation of edge intelligent devices. He is interested in e.g. accelerators for (deep) neural Networks, In-memory computing, calibration and adaptation of AI accelerators, probabilistic models, and general embedded AI strategies.

Outside of work, Martin is a music fan (he plays the drums on loud music), he does sports (biking and swimming mostly), he is fond of nature in general (hiking) and he is a big rugby fan (ASM Clermont).
