Maxime Delvoie graduated from UCLouvain in 2020 as a bioengineer specialized in Sciences and Technology for the Environment.
His master thesis focused on the study of the influence of land-use on the hydrology of a water catchment in Madagascar. Since 2021, he started a PhD supervised by Pierre Delmelle (Earth and Life Institute) and Hadrien Rattez on the “Instability of volcanic slopes in a changing climate : how do the hydraulic and mechanical properties of volcanic soils in the Tropical Andes respond to changes in hydrological cycle.”
Maxime already received a scholarship for this project to establish joint PhD collaboration with Anh-Minh Tang and Jean-Michel Pereira from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, which will be completed by this FSR scholarship.
