The development of new materials with extended performance is essential to enhance safety, decrease weight, or provide new functionalities (thermoelectric, healing, …) is central in several of our research projects.
In our institute, we develop a strong expertise in materials design and characterization, with an integrated view of the whole life cycle of the corresponding product.
We are active in projects dealing with the development of structural materials or thin films, the study of their mechanical properties and durability, advanced manufacturing and assembly processes, and the recycling of metals and composites.
