The jury of the "2020-2021 Study Award" of the Belgian Concrete Group (GBB, Groupement Belge du Béton) has awarded an honourable mention to the MSc thesis of Sammy De Visscher, in the category of "Civil Engineer" ("Ingénieur civil des constructions"), with the following title:
"Harmonisation of force-based and displacement-based design approaches according to the second generation of Eurocode 8 - Application to reinforced concrete frames" (in French)
The award aims at distinguishing the most outstanding graduation work in the field of concrete.
A certificate was delivered during the GBB Concrete Day 2021 (https://www.gbb-bbg.be/nl/concrete-day-2021/), which took place on Thursday 14 October in Brabanthal (Leuven).
The MSc thesis was supervised by Prof. João Almeida and Dr. António Correia (LNEC, Portugal).
