International Philosophical Bibliography / Répertoire bibliographique de la philosophie

The present bibliography (IPB) is the successor of the Répertoire bibliographique de la philosophie appeared quarterly since May 1934 as a supplement of the Revue néoscolastique de philosophie (renamed Revue philosophique de Louvain in 1946)and of the : Bibliografisch Repertorium van de Wijsbegeerte appeared as part of the Tijdschrift voor Filosofie since 1939.

From 1991 to 2008, it is published by the Institut Supérieur de Philosophie (Université Catholique de Louvain) and the Hoger Instituut voor Wijsbegeerte (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), as a single publication with three titles:

International Philosophical Bibliography – Répertoire bibliographique de la philosophie – Bibliografisch Repertorium van de Wijsbegeerte.

From 2009, the IPB is published by the Institut Supérieur de Philosophie (UCLouvain) alone and et has now simply two titles: International Philosophical Bibliography/ Répertoire bibliographique de la philosophie

The online version (IPB on Peeters Online Bibliographies) was launched in 1997. This database is updated 4 times a year and enables users to make extensive searches.

From 2024, the partnership with Éditions Peeters will come to an end, and with it the printed edition of the bibliography. In order to better meet the expectations of today's researchers, the IPB now exists solely in the form of an online database, designed and managed by the Institut Supérieur de Philosophie, in collaboration with the Presses Universitaires de Louvain. The database, which has been completely redesigned, is continually updated and offers ever more precise and extensive research possibilities.
